Sue graduated from Natchitoches High School in Louisiana, attended Northwestern University in Louisiana for a year, then married Teddy on December 8, 1956 in Natchitoches, LA. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1957, where they had lived ever since. She was a homemaker and mother and worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell, at the deli in Albertson's, and retired from District #93, where she worked in food services. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the scouting program, Primary, Young Women, and as a visiting teacher. She liked to bowl, dance, spend time with her family, attend TOPS, crochet, and do puzzles.

Survivors beside Ted included children: Terri Sue Curtis of Murray, UT; Steven Lee [Brenda] Curtis; Mark Alan [Holly] Curtis; Michael David [Laurie] Curtis; Kristi Lynn Curtis of Layton, UT; and Claudia McKemie of Natchitoches, LA; siblings: David McKemie of Escondido, CA; Fredna Claire Brazil of Natchitoches, LA and Sandy Craig of Many, LA; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Amy Curtis.

Funeral Services were held June 19, 2003 at Coltman 1st Ward chapel at 12448 North 5th East.
