Ms. Deorise A. Shelton was born October 31, 1966 to Charles and Francis Shelton. She was called home June 24, 2011 at the age of 44.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Shelton, Jr. and her mother, Francis Marie Shelton; grandfathers, Charles C. Shelton, Sr. and James Glaude; grandmother, Victoria Glaude; great-grandfather, Rev. Howard Shelton; and uncles, Cleveland Glaude, Howard D. Shelton, Bobby Shelton and her niece, Whitney Shelton.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her life partner, Marvin Hardy, her loving nephew and great niece that she raised like her own, Amonte Martin and Ciara Martin; one grandson, Amonte Martin, Jr.; her sisters, Elaine (Dwight) Shelton, Tasha (Larry) Thompson, Sherita (Ruben) Shelton and Lataira Gildersleeve; her brothers, Charles (Melanie) Shelton, Robbie (Theola) Shelton, Ronnie (Wendy) Shelton and Peter Shelton; devoted grandmother, Catherine Shelton; devoted aunts and uncles, Sheryl Cannon, Josephine Lawson, Velma (Jerry) Scudder, Linda Shelton, Sheila (Shaun) Shelton, James (Kim) Glaude, Reuben Glaude, Ronald (Lorraine) Glaude, David (Sheila) Glaude, Peter (Bonnie) Glaude, Sr., Grace (Eric) Ward, Ella Sparrow, Rose Glaude, Johnnie Shelton, Phillip Wayne Williams and Edward Rogers. Deorise was a life long resident of Moss Point, Mississippi and was employed by the Moss Point School District for several years as a bus driver where she had many devoted friends and fellow employees. She will be greatly missed by all of them, as well as the students that rode her bus.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Love COLG, 4412 Chillis Street, Moss Point, Mississippi with Overseer D. A. Graham officiating.
Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Gabriel Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS.
