In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. June Eileen (nee Hammett) Russell, Omaha. Nebraska; a brother, Kester Hammett, Blue Rapids, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Pearl (nee Hammett) Barney and Mrs. Idella B Delva Della (nee Hammett) Fleenor, Topeka, Kansas, and three grandchildren.

Mr. Royal Francis Roy Ray Hammett died Wednesday morning, March 17th, 1965 at his home, 700 Polk Street, Topeka, Kansas after a long illness. He was 85. He was born August 10th, 1879, at Marysville, Kansas and had lived in Topeka, Kansas 53 years. He retired in 1962. He was a member and also a trustee for a number of years of the First Christian Church. He belonged to the Topeka Realtors Association and the Kansas Association of Real Estate Boards. He operated his business his home, 700 Polk Street, Topeka, Kansas. He and Bessie Louisa (nee Blanchard) Hammett were married October 22nd, 1912 at Marysville, Kansas.
