Born in the Netherlands in Friesland, to Klaas Harkes Cupery (1833 – 1890) and Martzen Pieters Westra (1838 – 1906); Dora came to America and married on November 7, 1895 to Geert Alsum (1873 – 1943) in Friesland, Columbia Co, Wisconsin. Dora's parents also came to America and lived and died in this same area of Wisconsin... Dora had seven siblings.
Dora and Geert Alsum had a family of nine children.

I am pleased to find this memorial for Dora, and thank the original contributor Steve for transferring it to me. Dora & Geert Alsum were my son in law's great grandparents. Clc
