Husband of Ruby Idora Brecheen, son of Benjamin Franklin Aplin and Ara Belle Chadwell.

TURKEY - Lorenzo Dow Aplin, 94, of Turkey, died Sunday, April 19, 1992 in Memphis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Turkey Church of Christ, with Stewart Smith, minister, and Melvin Clinton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Turkey, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery, directed by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador.

Mr. Aplin was born Sept. 28, 1897, at Center, Okla. and moved to Turkey as a young man. He married Ruby Brecheen April 5, 1927, at Turkey. They lived in Lubbock for several years before moving back to Turkey from Anson in 1972. He was a retired cemetery caretaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, J.F. Aplin of Turkey and L.D. Aplin of Quinlan; two daughters, Idella Lynn of Ruidoso, N.M.; and Idora Farless; and eight grandchildren.

The body will be at the Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until time for the services.
