Barbara Jane Waits James, age 84, of Forsyth, formerly of Jackson and Butts County, passed away Monday, October 22, 2007 in Macon. Mrs. James, the widow of the late Edwin James, was born November 21, 1923 in Jasper County. She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Ruth Waits. She was a merchant and service station owner; she was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Faye Heath and Rita Walker, both of Forsyth; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. James is also surveyed by three brothers, Jimmy and Carl Waits of Jackson and Gene Waits of Fayetteville; four sisters, Edith Jones of Atlanta; Emily Stringfellow of Fayetteville; Madilyn Bryan of Madison; and Shirley Waits of Atlanta.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jane Waits James will be conducted Thursday, October 25 at 2 p.m. from the Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Sherrell, Rev. Donnie Thurston and Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pepperton Cemetery.
