The Oklahoman, Friday, Sep 5, 2008:
Margaret Bonham, widow of William L. Bonham, MD, died Sep 1, 2008 in Oklahoma City. She was a caring and devoted mother to her children and grandchildren, a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews and a loyal, faithful friend to many.

Born July 21, 1913 in Atlanta, GA, she attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She was an avid bridge player, and played golf until almost age 90 at Oklahoma Golf & Country Club. Into her mid 80's she was active with the Meals on Wheels program at Crown Heights Christian Church where she was a member for 70 years.

Her positive attitude and enthusiastic outlook on life were an inspiration to family and friends. She was especially thankful for the devoted and loving care she received during her twilight years from longtime family friend, Peggy Eastman Shultes, and personal aides, Virginia, Cristal, Brittany and Candice Breshers, Karen Sims, Darby Sloan, and Tiffany Geretta.

She was preceded in death by her son, William L. Bonham Jr. She is survived by daughters, Priscilla Bonham, OKC; Beverly and husband Harold Scoggins of Gainsville, VA together with three married grandsons, Hal and Diana Scoggins, Portland, OR; Bill and Karen Scoggins, Oakton, VA; Chris and Tracy Scoggins, Richmond, VA; and eight great grandchildren.

Services 10 am Saturday, Sep 6 at Crown Heights Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Crown Heights Christian Church Memorial Fund. Hahn-Cook Street & Draper, OKC
