Funeral services were Friday, April 29, in Parshall, N.D., for Jesse William Andes.

Andes, 63, of Green River died April 23 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County of an apparent heart attack.

He was born July 17, 1924, in Plaza, N.D., a son of Jesse A. and Hazel (Stebleton) Andes. He married Beulah A. Baardson in May of 1944. They later divorced. He married Sharon Wattier Linch Oct. 20, 1975 in Cathy, N.D.

He spent his early years and was educated in Parshall, N.D., lived in Seattle for 25 years and Harvey, N.D. for many years prior to moving to Green River six years ago. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps. He was self-employed as a carpet cleaner. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Harvey and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of Green River; sons, Dennis Andes, Curtis Andes, Jeffery Andes and a daughter, Nancy Cragness, all of Seattle, Wash.; stepchildren, Devonna Piper, Ogden, Utah, Michael Linch, Green River, Dominic Linch, Payson, Utah, Martin Linch, San Bernardino, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Andes, Parshall, N.D., Frank Andes, Plaza, N.D., George Andes, Hornel, N.Y.; three sisters, Gladys Tabert, San Jose, Calif., June Andes, Oakland, Calif., and Jean Strong, Pleasant Hill, Calif. He was preceded in death b his parents and two brothers.
