Helen Renshaw, age 86, of Storm Lake, Iowa died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
Helen E. Anderson was born March 7, 1925 in Holstein, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Alice (Bell) Anderson. Growing up, Helen attended school and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1943. After her father passed away, her mother remarried Floyd Robb who became her step-father and played an important part in her life.
On May 25, 1946, Helen was united in marriage to Jack Chase Renshaw at the Christian Church Parsonage. Together, they were blessed with one son, Randy Rey.
Helen was a member of the Ladies Card Club. She enjoyed fishing, reading and crocheting. Family was very important to Helen and she treasured the time she was able to spend with them. Helen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Randy Rey (Connie Lanagan) Renshaw of Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren: Erin (Dale) Lappe of Wesley, Iowa Ben Renshaw of Algona, Iowa; Conner Renshaw of Maurice, Iowa; great grandchildren: Megan, Matt, and Emily Lappe; sister, Mary Alice Hansen of Storm Lake, Iowa; step-brothers: Wayne Robb of Storm Lake, Iowa; Donnie Robb of Naples, Florida; extended family and friends.
