Earl Wells Skinner, 81, of Roy, Utah, formerly of Fielding, Utah, died Thursday, January 31, 1985, in McKay-Dee Hospital, Ogden, Utah, of heart failure.

He was born on December 30, 1903, in Joseph, Utah, a son of Richard Edward and Sarah Lucinda Wells Skinner.

He married Marjorie Yorgesen on May 21, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The marriage was solemnized later in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She died on February 22, 1983.

He had resided in Fielding from 1931 to 1965, in Ogden, Utah, from 1965 to 1983, and since then he has lived in Roy, Utah.

He owned and operated a farm in Fielding and had been employed at Hill Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic until his retirement in 1973.

Surviving are one son and two daughters: Steven E Skinner, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs John C (Joyce) Barkdull, Roy, Utah; Mrs Jerry W (Karen) Garn, Pleasant Grove, Utah; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers and five sisters: Carl Skinner, Grant LaMar Skinner, Mrs Aletha Wicks, and Mrs Walter (Mary) Metcalf, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs Elva Staples, Tooele, Utah; Mrs Wayne (Louise) Robinson, American Fork, Utah; Mrs Jack (Grace) Campbell, Bountiful, Utah.

Burial was held in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
