George Warren Parten Jr., son of George Warren Parten Sr. and Victoria Piper. Orphaned at the age of four when his Uncle William Marshall Parten was given guardianship of George and his brothers and sisters under the age of eight-teen.

George was a Private First Class in the US Army. Inducted into World War I at Galveston, Texas on 3 Sep 1918. Assigned to Camp Bowie, Medical Division Base Hospital. Honorably discharged on demobilization 30 Dec 1918. Camp Bowie was Headquarters of the 36th Division, US Army during 1917-1919. Established in April 1917 to train the Texas and Oklahoma National Guard, after the U.S. entered World War I.

George was an Insurance Salesman for most of his life, mostly with The National Life and Accident Insurance Company out of Nashville Tennessee, servicing Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado.

George was married four times and divorced four times. Susan, Cortelle, and Dorcus twice. George was a father of two children, two sons with Cortelle Sloss. George was fond of his five grandchildren, four boys and one girl.

In 1970, Hurricane Celia knocked down his garage apartment home in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he lost everything. George was removed to a nursing facility in said city, until he died in 1975.
