Services for Vernice Rae Cornwall, 59, of Placerville, will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 18, at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Hills Memorial park.
Mrs. Cornwall died March 16 at Sacramento.
A native of Oklahoma, she had lived the past 12 years in El Dorado County and the past 57 years in California. She had been a cosmotology instructor at Federico Beauty College for 37 years. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Sacramento.
Mrs. Cornwall was the wife of Edward Cornwall of Sacramento; and the mother of Linda Chaney and Dave Cornwall, both of Sacramento, JoAnn Petersen of El Dorado Hills, Greg Simon of Folsom and Sherryl Pierson of Placerville. She is also survived by three brothers, one sister and 11 grandchildren.
