Carolyn Joy Frazier Bays, (fondly known as "Mimi" to her grandchildren) 72, of Crossett, passed away on June 26, 2011 at Ashley County Medical Center. She was born on July 1, 1938 to her late parents, Copeland Eugene and Margaret Virginia Henley Frazier in Fordyce, AR. Mrs. Bays was a member of Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include her husband whom she married on Feb. 23, 1981, James L. "Pedro" Bays of Crossett, AR; two sons, Mike Greene and Bryan Bays, both of Crossett; two daughters, Nancy Brown (Ricky) of Little Rock, AR and Sheri Harrison (Tommy) of Pine Bluff, AR; one brother, Gary Frazier of Leesville, LA; one sister, Linda Reeves (Arnold) of Missouri; eight grandchildren, Whitney Maxwell (Eric), Ashley Greene, Jennifer Burks ( Brandon), Landon Greene, Cody Bays, Natalie Greene, Kaci Bays and Kenslee Greene; three great grandchildren, Madison Maxwell, Dakota Maxwell and Brody Burks.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Farrell Breshears officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church.
