Billy Dean Isaacs, 69, of Nebo, N.C. died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 1, 1942 in McDowell County to the late Gaylon and Jessie Smith Isaacs.
Mr. Isaacs was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from Dana Trucking Co. as a truck driver.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Ruby Robinson Isaacs of the home; four daughters, Sarah Smith of Morganton; Susan Kanipe and her husband, Jeff of Marion; Karen Wilson and her husband, Mark of Marion; and Hayley Biggerstaff of the home; one sister, Linda Hutton and her husband, Pete of Fredricksburg, Va.; six grandchildren, Stephanie Walker, Nicholas Walker, Andrew Kanipe, Ryan Kanipe, Dylan Wilson and Hunter Wilson; and four great-grandchildren, Mason, Riley, T.J. and Braydon Williams.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
