Andrew Jackson Aeyrs was born in Winona, Minn., on Oct. 3rd, 1860 the son of Capt. Andrew Eayrs Jackson Sr. b. Aug 1781 in Nashua, Hillsborough, NH ~ d. 27 Jul 1831 in Monroe, Monroe, MI
and Electa Anna (Curtis) Jackson b. 1826 in NY ~ d. 1908 in MN.
He was killed suddenly by a falling building at his home near Annetta, Nelson County, Dakota Territory on Aug. 28, 1889.
His remains were brought back to this county and buried by the side of his father at Claremont, who died in March 1873.
On 25 Sep. 1881 in Dodge, MN., he was married to Miss Dell Thomas of Kasson, Minn. They moved to Dakota in 1883.
Mr. Eayrs was an industrious, hard-working man, and by his frugality, he had secured a fine home in Dakota. He was highly respected and a large number of friends followed his remains to the grave. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. H. Witter of this place.
He leaves his wife, mother, two sisters, and six brothers, to mourn his loss.
