"DEATH – Mr. Alexander Bray, an esteemed townsman, died Wednesday, February 21st , of asthma. He was buried yesterday at Upper Lake. Mr. Bray was a native of Kentucky, came to California many years ago, and to Lake County about five years since. He owned a ranch near Middletown until about fifteen months ago, when he moved to Lakeport, where he has carried on the bakery business. Mr. Bray leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss"
