Sarah Jane Baker Porter
Mrs. Sarah Jane Porter, 80, native of Fall River, Massachusetts, died at a local hospital last night, June 5, 1930, following an illness of more than the past year. The deceased came to California 25 years ago and has spent most of that time in this vicinity, having resided at Orcutt for the past four years.
She was the widow of the late Abel G. Porter, Civil War Veteran, who died at Westgate, 1914 [1915].
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Francis M. Jensen of Nipomo; Arthur G. Porter of Fontana; Mrs. Gertrude Howard of Santa Maria; Clive A. Porter, Nipomo; and Raphael C. Porter of Sisquoc.
Two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Revel of Gardena, and Mrs. Z. W. Chapman of Olympia, Washington, and one brother, W. O. Baker of Olympia, also survives besides 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
