Mrs. Henry F. Meyer Services Held Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry F. Meyer were held Sunday afternoon from the Grace Lutheran church, Rev. Richard L. Schlecht officiating. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran cemetery west of Gladstone.
Florentine Maria Melcher, daughter of David and Florentine Melcher, was born March 17, 1874 at Cincinnati, Ohio, and died at Fairbury May 18, 1950, at the age of 76 years, two months and one day.
She was instructed and confirmed in the Christian faith at the east Gladstone church in 1891. She has been a member of the Grace Lutheran church since 1927.
She married Henry F. Meyer Oct. 7, 1897. They had five children, two of whom died in infancy.
They lived at Plymouth from 1897 to 1910, and at Gilead from 1910 to 1927, when they mvoed to Fairbury.
Surviving are her husband; one son, David of Gilead; two daughters, Mrs. William Knapper of Gilead and Mrs. Emil Schoen of Oxford; 12 grandchidlren and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Starr of Fairbury and Mrs. Caroline Meyer of Kansas.
