Fannie was the daughter of John Beauchamp Jones and Frances Thomas Curtis.
Her Father was a writer whose books enjoyed during the mid 19th century. He is best known for a Rebel War Clerk's Diary which tells of his time beginning in 1861 as a clerk in the Confederate War Department. He was the editor of the Madisonian in Washington during the administration of President Tyler and Later was connected with the editorial staff of THE SUN . He died at age 55.
Her mother Frances Thomas Custis - was born in Accomanc County, Virginia. She died of having a stroke , at the age of 91.

First marriage to Joseph Lafayette Stephens in Cooper County, Missouri on June 1878 in Booneville, MO They had 2 boys. Curtis G 1879-1907 and Joseph Lafayette Stephens 1880-1901.
1.Curtis G Stephens- was born on February 17, 1879 in Bonneville, Missouri and died on September 3, 1907 om Denver, CO. At the age of 28 years, 6 month and 23 day. He married Katherine Mc Mahon on September 18, 1899 in Baltimore, MD. They had 3 children. Katherine F . 1901-1995, Custis Gibson , 1905-1953 and Joseph L. Stephens 1906-1975.
2. Joseph L Stephens was born on September 25, 1880 in Bonneville, MO and died on Ocotber 18, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA. He married Edith Lee on March 2, 1905 in Alton, MO. The had one son, Joseph L Stephens 1907-1972.

Her first husband Joseph Stephens is a descendant of Peter Stephens and Maria Christina.

Second marriage to William M. Ladd in Saint Louis, Missouri on July 7, 1884. They had four children.
