Herman Recker, one of Quincy's well-known residents, died at 8:30 last night at 1307 Elm street. He had been ill for nearly a month with enlargement of the liver. Deceased was born in Germany and was 56 years of age. He has lived in Quincy since '68. He was a carpenter by trade. A wife and eight children, all residents of Quincy, survive. One is named Mrs. H. Tushaus.

The funeral will take place from his late residence, 1307 Elm street, on Friday morning at 7:30 and from St. Francis church at 8 o'clock.

Mr. Herman Recker died at his residence, 1307 Elm street, at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday night, aged 55 years and ten months. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father. He has been a resident of Quincy for twenty-eight years and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
