James Sharp Copeland married Julia Ann (Cary) Walker on 7 Jun 1885 and was married by his brother John Boliver Copeland, a Primitive Baptist Minister near Sharon, Missouri.

Seven children were born to this union and they lived all their life in Saline Co., MO.

"James Sharp Copeland, son of William andElizabeth Copeland, passed away October 10, 1935 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Boonville, Mo.

"Mr. Copeland was born in Franklin County, VA, February 5, 1854 and came to Saline County Mo., with his parents at the age of five years.

"He was united in marriage to Mrs. Julia A. Walker June 6, 1884 and to this union were born seven children, Mrs. Lewis Egan, Mrs. Ed Staub, Mrs. Joe Baker, Robert , Jess, Herbert and Joe Copeland, all now living in Saline County. He also leaves to mourn his loss, three step cildren, Mrs. John Chappell of Kansas City, Mrs. Frank Auer and A. J. Walker, Boonville Mo., also twenty-one grandchildren. Mr. Copeland united with the Primitive Baptist church in the year of 1888, to which faith he has lived a faithful member since.

"His friends are numbered by his acquaintances and he will be sadly missed from his home community in which he has lived the greatest part of his life, mingling with his friends and neighbors up until the last three weeks, when he was stricken with his last sickness.

"Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 o'clock at Sweeney Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Ridge Park Cemetery."
