He was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Henry, Neb., and had lived here from 1951 to 1964 and 1975 to the present.
Mr. Bashford was a lineman and substation maintanence man for the United States Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation for 30 years.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, VFW Post #2281 in Thermopolis and 35th Division Association.
Mr. Bashford served in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, E. Lucile Bashford of Cheyenne, whom he married Oct. 25, 1943, in Mitchell, Neb.; a son, Lin L. Bashford of Powell; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lettie Bashford; a brother, Copeland Bashford; and two sisters, Marybeth Seger and Lilia Spear.
