She was born July 16, 1926 in Pursley, W.Va., the daughter of the late Arthur D. Archer and Sylvia K. Fogler Archer.
She was a secretary of Fetty Assoc.; worked at G.C. Murphy Co.; and a member of First Baptist Church of Paden City, W.Va. She along with her husband founded the First Baptist Church; and was a Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Fetty, who passed away October 7, 2005; sister, Juanita Goodfellow; brother, Loren Archer; son, Darrell Fetty; and son-in-law, Steve Grimes.
Survivors include one daughter, Dena R. Grimes of Sistersville; one granddaughter, Valerie M. Grimes of Sistersville; one great grandson, Preston Reeve Grimes; sisters, June Dally of Sistersville, Margaret Kirkwood of Mayfield, Ky. and Jean Wilson of Marietta, Ohio; and brothers, Stan Archer of Paden City, Glen Archer of Kirksville, Mo. and Elliott Archer of Carmel, Ind.
Calling hours Saturday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating.
Burial in Archers Chapel Cemetery.
