Gene Fredrick Allen, 90, died June 23, 2011. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Whitesboro TX to Fred and Virgie (Gassaway) Allen. He served as a United States Navy Chief Pharmacist's Mate. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, where he was a lifetime member of the Alumni Assoc., he owned and operated a pharmacy in Oklahoma City. He loved OU football, boating, and fishing. He thought his family was his greatest achievement.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mae; and siblings Mary, Bertha, Ruth, and Homer.
He is survived by his daughter Paula Myers and husband Wayne; sons Curtis and wife Tracey, and Mark and wife Chriss; grandchildren Shelley, Denise, Katherine, Curtis ,Jr., Harry, Gabe, and Jake; and great-grandchildren Hannah, Tony, Natalie, Haley, Joseph, Alex, and Christopher.
