James T. Reynolds, 78, of Pensacola, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011.

Born on February 13, 1933 to the late Darrell Willis Reynolds and Catherine Marie Buckholz Reynolds, in Carlyle, IL. He was a long-time resident of Pensacola. While serving with the United States Navy, he was transferred to Pensacola where he met his first wife, Margaret Ann Ward. There were married for 48 years and had two children. Jim was a self-employed electronics technician and for many years had the television repair contract for Baptist Hospital. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. A self-taught musician, he played the guitar; entered musical contests and won several. Singing and playing his guitar were joys of his life and he will be remembered as the kindest most positive and encouraging man who loved his Lord, life and his family. Jim was a faithful member of Smyrna Baptist Church for over 30 years.

Preceded in death are his parents, wife Margaret, brothers John Reynolds and Willis Reynolds, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Trudy; daughters Karen Ann (Roger) Brown, Wabash, IN and Rebecka Lyn Majors, Pensacola; grandchildren Thomas (Melissa) Brown, Indianapolis, IN and Steven Majors, Pensacola; brother Donald Reynolds, Fruitland, MD and a sister Shirley King, Palm Desert, CA and many nieces and nephews; also, three step-children; seven step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
