Thompson, William Henry age 86 of Maryville passed away Wednesday evening, March 22, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended Six Mile Baptist Church as a young man he made a profession of faith and placed his trust in The Lord Jesus Christ. He was a veteran of The U.S. Army having served during WWII with the rank of SGT. Preceded in death by parents, Will and Jessie Thompson Hearon; brothers, Tom Everett and Charlie Everett; great granddaughter, Brennah Renea Young. Survivors wife of 59 years, Dorothy Walker Thompson; daughters and sons in law, Kathleen and James Williams, Helen and Cleve Young, Doris and Brian Poplin all of Maryville; grandchildren, Ann Adams and husband Curtis, Allen Young and wife Kelly, Lana Pettis and husband Randy; great grandchildren, Gavin Young and Abram Young. Funeral service 7:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2006 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel Rev. Bill White officiating. Interment 10:00 AM Saturday at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
