Mrs. Hicks was born in Tyler County and resided in Henderson. She was a former longtime resident of Lufkin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lufkin and of the T.E.L. Sunday School class.
Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Elward and Bernice Hicks and William C. "Bill" and Dorothy Hicks; daughter and son-in-law, Marguerite and Phillip Bundgard; brother, Andrew J. Bean; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hicks, Elie Smith, Bayo Hopper, W. C. Mann, Harvey Williford and Don Hearne.
