Clarence "Irish" Klingel age 95 of Jasper passed away Monday May 9, 2005 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born April 29, 1910 in Jasper to: John and Elizabeth (Dick) Klingel. He married Mary "Lila" Gutgsell June 19, 1941. She passed away April 14, 1978.

He retired from the Jasper Desk Company after 45 years and then worked for Jasper Turning Company.

Memberships include: St. Joseph Catholic Church, the VFW Post 673, WW2 veteran.

Surviving: 5 daughters-Sister Mary Beth Klingel of Terre Haute, Mrs. Ed (June) Schnaus and Mrs. Doug (Karen) Schulte Mrs. Curt (Dorothy) Tyler all of Jasper, Mrs. Don (Rosemarie) Siemens, of Louisville.
1 son-John Klingel of Lake Worth FL.
1 sister- Mrs. Floyd (Bernice) Rule Jr. of Mentone IN.

Preceded in death besides his wife are 1 sister-Rosina Klingel, 4 brothers--Aloysius "Wishy" , Joseph "Shorty" and Andrew and Edward Klingel.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Parish Rosary at 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday May 13, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. The VFW Post 673 will conduct the Military Grave Side Rites.

Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or St. Charles Health Campus Activities Dept.
