John Otto Pruitt was born November 16, 1928 at Cedar Grove, Missouri and
passed away June 2, 2011 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years.

On December 18, 1965, John was united in marriage to Pauline (Weber)
Wood. John enjoyed camping, fishing, and squirrel hunting.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Willie A. and Viola (Krewson) Pruitt;
his wife, Pauline; one brother, Vernon; three sisters, Bernice Holland,
Roberta Cundiff, and Lela Nichols.

Survivors include five children: Dennis Ray Pruitt, Bunker, Missouri; Billy
Gene Pruitt and wife, Erlinda, California; Larry David Pruitt; Terry John Pruitt,
Bunker, Missouri; Danny Pruitt and wife, Amy, Bunker, Missouri; four step
children, Ray Wood and wife, Penny, Bunker, Missouri; Roy Wood and wife,
Carol, Bunker, Missouri; Bill Wood and wife, Shirley; Bunker, Missouri; Linda
Boyd and husband, Walter, O'Fallon, Missouri; brother, Delbert Pruitt and
wife, Martha, Salem, Missouri; sisters, Virginia Dilling, California; Alta Leming,
Buckner, Missouri; and June Schafer, Salem, Missouri; several grandchildren
and great grandchildren.

Funeral service for John Pruitt was June 6, 2011 in the Wilson Mortuary
(Salem) Chapel with Sister Kathy Medlin officiating. Selected recorded music
was played. Serving as pallbearers were: Danny Pruitt Jr., Nathan Boyd,
Tommy, Dean, Gene, and Michael Wood. Interment was in the Weese
Cemetery.
