Mr. Boyett was a native of Callahan and lived there most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Boyett; his mother, Ossie Mae and a brother and sister.
Survivors included: his daughter, Patricia (Butch) Halladay; sons, Richard (Desiree) Boyett and Mitchell Boyett; a brother, James H. Boyett; three grandchildren, Wayne Morgan, Jason Boyett and Amanda Siereking; four great-grandchildren and nephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 18 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave. with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating.
Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Park, Duval County, Florida. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations were requested to be made to Heartland Hospice, in his memory, 8130 Baymeadows Way, W., Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 32256
