In the year 1820 John Steck was united in marriage to Elizabeth Hill, daughter of John Jacob and Christina Hill, and sister of the late John Hill, deceased. To this union were born three children: Michael; Jacob, and Susan. The two former are now deceased; Susan was married to Henry Dieffenderfer.
