He was a son of Raymond and Elizabeth Jones Marley.
He served with the Army in World War II in the European Theater and was recalled to service during the Korean conflict.
On May 29, 1948, he married Margaret Cox in Sacred Heart Church, Utica.
Besides his parents and wife, he leaves a son, Keith, a daughter, Sharon, both at home; three brothers, William of Whitesboro, Richard of Prospect and Samuel of Houston, TX; a sister, Mrs. Betty Meisenheimer of Remsen.
