The daughter of Emmert and Minnie(Loe)Klingsmith, she was born June 22, 1921 in Yarrow, Missouri. On September 21, 1938 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to Grover Clyde Ownbey.
Ina is survived by two daughters, Judy Ann Robertson and husband David of Gold Canyon, AZ and Sandra"Jane"Clark and husband Allen of Gower, MO; four grandchildren, Jamie Ownbey, Jeffrey Ownbey, Beth Jameson and Brian Clark; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one step great grandson; and her best friend, Frasncis Houser of Kirksville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1972, one son, Jimmie Dee Ownbey, one great great grandson, on brother, Robert Emmert Klingsmith and one sister, Nola Faye Winslow.
Ina grew up in the Yarrow community and attended the Mt. Zion School. She and her husband operated a General Store in Yarrow until her husband death. She then moved to Kirksville and was employed at the International Shoe Factory.
She was a memgber of the Yarrow United Methodist Church. She loved to quilt and made many quilts, she also enjoyed cooking.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday June 25, 2011 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Dan Todd officiating. Burial will be in Union Temple Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home, Kirksville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Union Temple Cemetery or the Yarrow Cemetery.
