She was born November 4, 1915 in Delaware Township, Juniata County, a daughter of the late Hudson H. and Phoebe [Shirk] Brubaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob M. Wert, whom she married June 26, 1937. Also surviving are a son, Sherle L. Wert of Milroy; three daughters, Mrs. Richard [Helen Ann] Peachey of HC 67, Mifflin, Mrs. Philip [Nancy R.] Varner of HC 63, Oakland Mills and Judy M. Kanagy of Thompsontown RR1; three brothers, Lester Brubaker and Paul Brubaker, both of McAlisterville RR1, and Darwin Brubaker of Mifflintown RR2; one sister, Bernice Kauffman of Thompsontown; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a seamstress, having retired from Lyon Fashions, McAlisterville. She was also a professional quilter. She was a member of Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown RR4, where she had been a Sunday school teacher and was active in the Women's Bible Sun ay School Class.
A funeral service was held Friday at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, with Rev. Kenneth R. Letner and Rev. Luke L. Keefer Sr. officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mifflintown RR4.
