Funeral Conducted for Albert C. Suhr, 72

Funeral services for Albert Suhr, who died April 4 at the local hospital of a heart attack, were conducted Wednesday morning at Christ Lutheran Church, Bazile Mills. The Rev. Frank Zirbel of Foster, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Suhr had been hospitalized two and a half weeks following surgery.

Albert Carl Suhr, son of Carl and Maria Suhr, was born Oct. 2, 1892 three miles northeast of Bazile Mills and attended the Lutheran school at Bazile Mills.

He was married to Marie Sonder on Oct. 20, 1915 at Christ Lutheran Church. He lived northeast of Bazile Mills for 63 years and one and one half miles south of Creighton for two years. Mr. and Mrs. Suhr moved into Creighton in December 1958.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Edna) Placek of Creighton; three sons, Herbert of Creighton, Carl of Viborg, S.D. and Allen of Red Bank, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; his 93 years old mother; one brother, Ernest of Kennewick, Wash. and five sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Clara) Filter of Torrington, Wyo., Mrs. Ed (Bertha) Bertschinger of Denton, Kan., Mrs. Agnes Filter of Tracy, Minn., Mrs. Ed (Hilda) Grosse of West Sacramento, Calif. and Mrs. Arnold (Martha) Scheer of Clitheral, Minn.
