Mrs. Lambert Passes On
Sally Cahill was born in Smith county, Virginia, on February 27, 1858 and fell asleep in Jesus January 18, 1923, aged 64 years, ten months and 21 days. She was married to Henry Lambert July 29, 1875. To this union was born one daughter, now Mrs. Ellsworth Henry, with whom she had made her home for the last 25 years, her husband having passed away in 1898.
Mr. and Mrs. Lambert united with the Pleasant Grove Christian church, September 10, 1889, since which time she has been a consistent member and faithful worker.
Besides her daughter and son-in-law, she leaves to mourn her loss one grand daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leona Henry, and two great grand-children, one sister Mattie Call and three brothers, Charles and Albert Cahill of Saltville Va., and Edward Cahill of DeKalb, Mo.; the latter present at the funeral, and several nieces and nephews.
Aunt Sally was a good friend and neighbor, ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed—always thinking of others first. She will be missed by all who knew her. The great number of people who gathered to pay their last respects to her memory testified to the high esteem in which she was held.
Services and interment were held at the Pleasant Grove church, conducted by E. T. McFarland of Lawrence, assisted by Rev. C. A. Norman.
