Alena Deloris Jennings Ketner, 77, of Weems died Tuesday, December 8, 2009. She was the widow of Chester Ketner and was preceded in death by a son, Eddie C. Ketner. Mrs. Ketner was a member of Claybrook Baptist Church, Weems.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, W. Daryl and Christine Ketner and L. J. and Stephanie Ketner all of Weems; a granddaughter, Christine Becky Ketner; a sister, Thelma J. Robertson of White Stone.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Claybrook Baptist Church, Weems with Rev. Stephen Turner officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Robertson, Kenny Mills, Mike Ketner, Harvey Ketner, Matthew Hinkle, Luis Osuna Alba and Broaddus Blake. Honorary Pallbearer will be Burt Chase. Friends may call 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, December 10 at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
