Paula Renee Pries, Rochester, dies at 30

Paula Renee Pries, 30, a Rochester native, died Thursday at her home. The death was ruled a suicide.

Miss Pries was born February 12, 1957 in Rochester. She graduated from Mayo High School in 1977 and moved to Los Angeles in 1978 where she worked as a word proccessing secretary. She returned to Rochester in March of this year.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Shirley Pries of Rochester; a sister, Susan Pries of Rochester; and brother, Michael Pries of Rochester; two half-sisters, Cathy Whitcomb of Tampa, Florida and Nancy (Melroy) Ronningen of Pine Island; a half-brother, Donn (Lynn) Frederick of Chatfield; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Beulah Pries of Rochester; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Buegler of Pine Island. An infant sister, LaVonne Pries, and her father, Clarence Pries, preceded her in death.

The funeral will be at Vine Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Horntvedt, pastor of Zumbro Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, Minnesota.
