Lola Jean Butcher was born November 20, 1959 in Osceola, Iowa; the daughter of John and Lorene (Lande) Kirsch. Lola graduated from I-35 High School. She enjoyed taking care of older people and worked at all nursing homes in Winterset since she was a teenager. She most recently worked at West Bridge Care and Rehab as a physical therapist tech.

Lola enjoyed a simple life. She liked hunting, fishing, and motorcycle rides. She also liked long drives in the pickup throughout the countryside. She enjoyed coffee with friends, dancing and raising hell with the "girls". She would do anything with her granddaughters, movie/popcorn night, even camping out on the living room floor. Lola always made it a fun time.

She is survived by her father, John Kirsch of Harris, MO; her husband, Coy Waltz; her children, Heather Waltz (fiancée, Andrew Clark) of Pleasantville, Tiffeny Schutz (husband, Terry) of Winterset, and Joseph Waltz (girlfriend, Kayla Marie) of Des Moines; siblings, Bill Butcher of Des Moines, Terrie Severin (husband, Brian) of Urbandale, and John Kirsch of Lineville; three grandchildren, Emma Jean, Alivia Lynn, and Abigail Lorene Lincoln; two aunts, an uncle; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene in 1991; her grandparents; and her best friend, Dee Voeks in 2005.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25th at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. A visitation with family present will be held prior to services on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery, Peru. Memorials may be directed to the family.
