Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, Feb. 11, at the United Methodist Church in Exeter. Interment was in Exeter Cemetery.
He married Mildred Ann Noxon, Dec. 1, 1942. One son and three daughters were born to them. Mrs. Briggs died, as did the son.
He married Leona Horstmann Custer in Lincoln, where he resided until his death.
During his life, he owned grocery stores in Tamora, Beaver Crossing and Exeter. In Lincoln, he was employed by Wendelin Baking Co.
He served in the Navy during WWII.
Surviving are his wife, three daughters, three grandchildren and three brothers.
