Adams, 88, of Pineville died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday in Rapides General Hospital.
He was a retired self-employed merchant and a member of First United Pentecostal Church, Pineville.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Wiley Adams of Pineville; four sons, E.L. Adams of Baton Rouge, Joe Adams of Pineville, and John L. Adams and H.P. Adams, both of New Orleans; five daughters, Edith A. Self of Alexandria, and Amanda Holy, Velma Hunter, Rita Sayes, Elouise Woodall, all of Pineville; 37 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
