Vincent A. Garvoille, Sr., age 62, of Route 1 in Spring Green died on Wednesday, February 25, 1981, at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Born on August 16, 1918, in Montrose Township near Belleville, he had farmed near Sun Prairie for twenty years and hen near Spring Green for the past ten years. He was married to the former Luella Warner on February 6, 1940. He was a charter member of the NFO. Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Diane of Prairie du Sac; for sons, Gerald of Verona, David of Route 5, Madison, Vincent Jr. of Route 1, Spring Green and James of Spring Green; two grandchildren, John and Julia; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Mary) Moschkau of Mt. Horeb and Mrs. Roy (Helen) Altmann of New Glarus; and a brother, Alois of Rock City, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 27, at the GRUBER-ELLESTAD SAUK PRAIRIE FUNERAL HOME of 270 Oak Street in Prairie du Sac where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 26. Father Michael Klarer will officiate. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 8 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. Memorial may be given for Cancer Research.
