Dies in Arkansas

Henry N. Haselwood was born in Kentucky November 1, 1847, and died at Eureka, Arkansas, November 14, aged 67 years and 14 days. January 6, 1870, he was married to Martha Bagle. To them were born eight children, six of them still living. Five were present at his funeral. He came to Kansas in 1876 and homesteaded a farm just north of Glasco where he made a continuous residence until his death. In his early life he confessed his Savior and associated himself with the Baptist church but later in life he became a member of the Christian church at Rangeline, Kansas. He was a very industrious man, a Christian gentleman, a kind husband and loving father. His remains were brought to Glasco where the funeral was held Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Christian church, conducted by Rev. G.S. Smith. A very large gathering of friends paid a loving tribute to his memory. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery. He leaves a wife, six children, a number of grandchildren, two brothers and many friends to mourn his loss.
