Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Ralston-McCauley Funeral Home for Mrs. Elvator S. Roland of Fayetteville, who died Tuesday (June 4,1991) at Lincoln Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was 78.
The Rev. Ed Johnson officiated, and burial was In Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Roland was the daughter of the late Charlie and Tera Daniel Swinford. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Irene Hunter, Marie Reese, Mary Jane Roland, and Jo Ann Newbourn, all of Fayetteville; five sons, Roy, William Lee, John, Billy, and Ray Roland, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs. Alese Tucker of Fayetteville; two brothers, Conner Swinford of Fayetteville and Charles Swinford of Franklin; five half-sisters, Hazel Towry, Delia Norwood, Ester Currin and Sue Currin, all of Fayetteville, and Evelyn Robinson of Texas; four half-brothers, C. H. Swinford, J. C. Swinford, Clifford Swinford, and Cline Swinford, all of
Fayetteville; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.
