DEATH OF JOHN WILLIAMSON
John Williamson died at his home south of town Wednesday morning, July 4, at 6:30 o'clock after an illness of several months duration of old age and heart trouble.
Mr. Williamson was about 72 years old and one of the most highly respected citizens of this community, he has resided south of this place for a number of years being extensively engaged in farming, and was an honest and upright man and held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. He was a consistent member of the Christian church.
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. J.H. Wood, of Shelbina after which the remains were taken to Monroe City for interment.
He leaves a wife, and six sons, Wm. G., Geo. T., and Robt. B., of Tulsa, IT, Walter G., of Monroe City, Rev. Ernest of Brunswick, and Claude of south of town, and many other relatives and friend.
