Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Rev. Mark C. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Dundas Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday).
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Richland County Heart Association.
Franklin was born Oct. 3, 1912 in Jasper County, the daughter of Mark and Cora (Sprague) Meek. She married Lawrence Franklin Feb 2, 1936. He died June 7, 1991.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the NFSA Class at the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Larry Franklin, and his wife, Kathy, of Nashville, Rick Franklin, and his wife, Anne, of Olney, and Steve Franklin, and his wife, Patricia, of Charleston; a brother, Mark Meek, of Olney; three sisters, Hazel Hildebrand, of Newton, Dorothy Harmon and Edith Kermicle, both of Olney; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Franklin was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
