Known as Babe Adams, he was born March 9, 1927 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Nealon Luke "Bill" Adams and Pearl Brown Adams. He was a lifelong resident of Seminole. Oklahoma. He served in the United Stated Navy during World War II as a Fireman Second Class. After his tour of duty, he returned to Seminole and and began his 55 year career at Chadwick Funeral Home, later to be Swearingen Funeral Home. He was also a reserve police officer for the City of Seminole for 25 years, a Deputy Sheriff for Seminole County, and an ambulance atteendant. He was a member of the American Legion and The Lost Cherokee of Arkansas and Missouri. He was the father of five children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
