Jules L. Auge, 75, formerly of Niobe, died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 13, 2001) in Corry Manor. He was born July 17, 1925, in the town of Chautauqua, a son of Edward and Gladys Houseman Auge. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he had been employed by the Chautauqua County Highway Department for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Willis, whom he married Dec. 31, 1950; three daughters: Sue Staley of Rochester; Teresa Everett of Morehead City, N.C., and Jane L. James of Bethel, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Vernon Auge and Lauren Auge, both of Mayville, and Norval Auge of Sherman; and three sisters: Naomi Weary of Mayville, Vera Sandwall of Bemus Point and Myrtle Lindberg of Ellington, Fla. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Eldon, Edmond and Arnold Auge.
