J. ORVILLE CLAKLEY SERVICES MONDAY

Jacksonville - Services for J. Orville Clakley, 78, Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville with the Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery near Frankston.

Mr. Clakley died Saturday morning in Jacksonville after a sudden illness.

He was born June 26, 1909 in Chillicothe, and had lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was a retired mechanic and former owner of Eat-A-Bite Cafe in Jacksonville. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nora Clakley of Jacksonville; a son, M. A. "Cooter" Clakley of New Baden; three stepsons, Wayne Hall of Mount Selman, Gale Peek of Hawkins, and Dale Peek of Mineola; three brothers, David Green Clakley of Frankston and Curtis Clakley and Lukie Clakley both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Ellis and Mrs. Lucille Wells both of Houston; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Clakley, Tommy Clakley, Tim Clakley, R. N. Bridges, Jerry Peek and Billy Dave Clakley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dee Busby, Alton Busby, Clifford Wiggins, Pete Sipes and Fifex Sipes.
