Mr. Baker owned and operated a china store on Broadway for 36 years prior to his death in June of 1944. Mrs. Baker, formerly Alice R. Holman, came to Idaho Falls shortly after the turn of the century.
The Bakers were also connected with a fox farm operation on Eleventh street, one of the first in East Idaho.
At the time of his death, Mr. Baker was the oldest living Idaho Falls merchant. He was quite active in civic affairs.
Mrs. Baker is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Grace E. Farrebee, Auburn, Calif., Mrs. Florence E. Kinsird and Lucille E. Holman, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and two brothers, Harold E. Holman of Silver Springs, MD., and Frank E. Holman Seattle, Wash.
